Wierd Problem

  • i have the lastest version of outpost, and now for some reason, I cant get AIM to work. And when i check the blocked logs in outpost and it says that the port AIM needs to use is closed. how can i fix this. I tried to do a search and find some answer but i didnt find any.


  • i have already tried to remove it form the list and re start up Trillian to get it to work. But i dont know to setup a rule set.


  • Check the for a good introduction to Outpost that covers rules setup - while written for version 1 most of it still applies with version 2.

    Please give details of the rules you have configured for AIM (check the The Presets: Greatest Hits Collection (http://www.outpostfirewall.com/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=9869) for a set of rules for AIM - in its Trillian ruleset).

    Welcome to the forums :)
    Delete AIM from the app list. Get into rules wizzard mode and restart AIM. You will have the opportunity at the rules prompt to allow it.
