problem with updating (table already exists)

  • When updating to beta 2 i am getting this error:


    Database error in vBulletin 3.5.4:

    Invalid SQL:
    ALTER TABLE post_parsed RENAME postparsed;

    MySQL Error : Table 'postparsed' already exists
    Error Number : 1050
    Date : Wednesday, June 14th 2006 @ 04:16:12 AM

    and does not let me continue the installation


  • The new upgrade system shouldn't display this error, please post this in the bug tracker.


  • For what it's worth, I had the same error.
    I just skipped the step on my test board.
    I'll see what happens when I upgrade my live board once Gold is out.

  • I have refreshed and gone back a few times now, and i am still getting this error.


  • This isn't really expected, did you restore from a backup?

    The post_parsed should have been renamed to postparsed but it seems you have both, can you check the structure of the two.
