Just rewired house . when turning on dryer the lights go off , the mcb trips ,any idea what is the problem ?

  • check to make sure the dryer outlet is wired properly, it sounds like you have something crossed in the outlet.


  • Call the certified electrician that rewired the house to come back and fix it. Or if you did it yourself, better have it checked by a pro, sounds like someone used a breaker for more than 1 circuit. ie : 2 wires inserted into a single breaker.


  • not sure how you wired it but you need to check your feed to the dryer, two hots and a neutral, it should give you a very scarey pop or a heart thumbing explosion,
    you have a hot from the dryer on the main of opposite phases , or the neutral side of the dryer on the hot,
    The mcb is this to the house or the inside sub, any way check your wiring.
    did you install new wire and staple it
    keep it simple before yougo tearing out walls
