» Where can you buy steel wheels. I have alloys that are 'leaking air' so thought steels a cheaper replacement ?

Ask the tyre company to remove the tyres and clean up the rims. When they refit the tyres they can also use some sealant around the inside of the rim and this should cure it. Had two of mine done 3 months ago and not had any problems since.you can find some good deals on this web site on wheels they might have what your looking for,if they don't try a salvage yard, good luck, http://tirerack.comAlloy wheels that have minor porosity leak(s) can be repaired with a Devcon epoxy. Locate the leak(s) and thoroughly clean and rough up the area on the inside and seal it. I bought a cable for my d80 to try this out. I could of done a little better post processing, but I just pulled it into cs2 and auto-adjusted. iso - 800 2 sec. f3.8 So, the cable worked great. I created a signature file in Word 2003 with some italics, bold, colored fonts, etc. and saved it as .htm. In Outlook Express I set this up as my automatic signature for my outgoing messages. OK, when I start a new message, the signature appears. So far so good. But the lines are wide apart from each other. If I highlight the signature, click the Paragraph Style button, choose Normal. Presto, it's all nice and compact again. But how can I make sure that my signature is compact automatically without my having to format it each time? Is it something about my having created it in Word?...... - 2009-07-03

» The Right Film???

So I am going to shoot some nude portriats of a model who will be in makeup that makes her appear to be in black and white. (babypowder, black lipstick, nailpolish, ect.) There will also be a small sculpture lit by candlelight. The lighting on the subject will be dim, so the candles don't get washed out. So, here is my question. I want to shoot on slide film because I will eventually use some of these photos for polaroid transfers. BUT, I don't know what film to use. I don't think that any 400 speed slide film is very good, because it gets so grainy. Should I just shoot with 100 or 200, and push it to 400. Should I just shoot with a higher speed regular film, and get anything that I am going to use transfered to slides. Any othe...... - 2009-07-03

» I want borrow money from the bank to buy gold is it the best way to do that during world recession?

personally i think that you should just save your money. If a recession happens no one is going to have money to buy gold. You should save your money incase of an emergency. What if one day your car breaks down or something like that happens- you will have money on the side instead of having gold. Hope my advices helps you.I agree. Just save it. Gold is not a liquid asset.Have you seen the gold chart recently; trend, trend, trend.Go Turkey, there is %20 interest rate in banks (per year). This is great income. (By the way, inflation is %11)I believe you definitely should not take out a loan to buy gold. You will need to constantly repay the principle on that loan as well as interest. Most likely those payments will be much higher ...... - 2009-07-03

» Warranty Clarification From TTI - Finally!

I pulled into the local Home Depot today and saw a TTI truck parked out front. The TTI rep was there demoing the Ridgid line of tools. I started talking to him and the tool department manager (whom I know pretty well) about the "lifetime" warranty. The TTI rep said that the tool itself will be serviced for life by a local TTI service facility, not Home Depot. When a battery fails, the customer will have to bring the tool and battery to the repair center where the serial number of each will be recorded and a new battery will be exchanged for the old - ONE TIME only. Batteries will not be replaced for life. And doesn't that make sense? How could any company possibly replace something like batteries for the life of the tool? Talk a...... - 2009-07-03

it may hurt but no it wont "damage" your feat silly gooseyou're gonna get blisters, make sure they don't rub when you run. my advice: get new shoesActually, it depends on what distance you are running. When you are running, your foot swells so to accommodate for the swelling it is a good idea to buy your shoes a 1/2 size bigger or even a size bigger for marathon training. If you are too worrie about it just wear thicker socks. Not really. Just tie the shoe tight enough.you'll be just fine. » Can you freeze a minnow or small goldfish in dry ice and then thaw it out later with the fish still alive?

I NEED TO KNOW FOR A PROJECT!No - the fish will die. The problem you need to solve is that when the water inside the animals cells freezes it turns to ice crystals, expands and busts up the internal structure of the cell. Then when you thaw it out again, it wont work any more, so the animal is dead. There are certain animals that can actually survive a low level of freezing, but they actually have a type of organic antifreeze in their bodies to stop ice crystals forming. There are fish in antartica that can live down to -4C (the temp that seawater freezes) and NZ mountain Weta (an insect) can survive being frozen to about -8C But normal fish, no way, you will just make a Sushi popsicle Ian @ Fish Man - If I'm in a hurry...... - 2009-07-03

Most anyone will tell you R&D is a major cost factor in pricing. That said, I will admit Jet has over the years done some modification of their own but the basic machine remains what Delta designed. I'm Currently Posting By owners e-mail. I still dont have access to vb.org and Priority Support Please helpOwner's email is automatically on priority support; that place is for you to add up to 3 more because some people place their order strange, and their customer email becomes their paypal or whatever email they don't use. » forcing onrelease behavior

How do a call a button's on release behavior via actionscript? i.e. without the user pressing the button, I want to call the code that is within the onrelease function of that button. I've tried button.onRelease; and button.onRelease(); but it does not call the function.button.onRelease(); should work. hmm.. can you post our code? maybe a scope issue.try using an actual function: function pressthebutton(){ //do something } button.onPress = function(){ pressthebutton(); } //then you could later say for example: pressthebutton(); //or loadmovieorsomething.onLoad = function(){ pressthebutton(); }How have you applied the onRelease on your button? If it's a plain "on(release)" you cannot call it as "button.onRelease". You must have ...... - 2009-07-03

» How does foreclosure affect your credit?

The amount of the loan will continue to show owed until the financial institue gets its money for the property, whether that's through a tax sale or they sale the property to someone else. CharlesJennifer, foreclosure has a major impact on your credit rating...by as much as 100 points. The sad part of this too is that it will stay on your report for up to 10 years and you will be explaining why this happened each and every time you try to open a new credit account. If you are looking at this happening to you please contact your lender NOW and see if they are willing to rework the loan for you. It may be that you can cut your payment down to a manageable state and your lender does not have to take the property that could be upside...... - 2009-07-03

» NTSC/PAL games question (I have searched)

 I hate to make another thread about this topic, but I need help. I have spent hours and hours searching, and followed what advice I could find, but no one seems to have the exact problems that I have, and those fixes that I did find, do not seem to work. I am running XBMC on my softmodded xbox. I have recently downloaded some PAL games and wish to play them on my NTSC xbox. When I first played them, they would run black and white and the screen would flicker. I had read this was a common problem. Next, I downloaded and ran enigmah video converter to change the output from NTSC to PAL. After a restart, my entire xbmc dashboard was acting the way the PAL video games had before I switched it. Now I am wondering if this ...... - 2009-07-03

» What is the difference between being vegan and vegetarian?

Vegetarians do not eat meat, and depending upon their morals or preferences, may or may not eat eggs or dairy. Most commonly, they do eat eggs and dairy. Vegans do not consume, use, or buy any product derived from animals, including eggs, milk, honey, leather, wool, beeswax, and anything dyed red, in case it's an insect based dye. Nutritionally, the only difference is that vegans need to take a B12 and amino acid supplement, since they have no dietary source of these nutrients. You can get all the nutrients you need on a lacto-ovo (eggs and milk) vegetarian diet without supplements.emmyduckie is without a clue. try googling it instead google.com and type in vegan and vegetarian. » Divided Mesocyclone

I have recently been taking a closer look at a paper submitted back in 1979 (Lemon and Doswell), Severe Thunderstorm Evolution and Mesocyclone Structure as Related to Tornadogenesis. It is a fascinating read, especially with regard to the hypothesis of the divided mesocyclone structure. Some conclusions in this paper are consistent with those reached by Fujita, including the hypothesis that the strongest tornadoes actually occur during the collapse phase of the supercell, after dissipation of BWER and decrease in updraft intensity. I wanted to see if there had been any follow-up study with regard to this paper, and if there was any new evidence to support or disprove the idea of the formation of a divided mesocyclone structure prior to ...... - 2009-07-03

» Epson printer? Which one?

Looking for a nice printer to make some nice 8x10, 11x14 prints. I'm also getting a film scanner but was looking at the Canon 9950F and read some good reviews on it. Would mixing the Canon with the Epson seem like a big deal, or just small annoyances in software probally? So I'm look at the Epson Stylus 1280 or even possibly the Stylus R1800. Any suggestions? Thanks guys. Off to work :(The 1280 was a great printer for its time... but its pretty much obsolete now a days. I'd go with either the 2200 or the R1800. Both use inks have better archival qualities and print quality. See this thread http://www.thephotoforum.com/forum/s...ad.php?t=29325Btw... Nope.. Mixing and matching scanner and printers shouldn't be a problem. Just make s...... - 2009-07-03

» Lens Comparisons

A lot of photographers have discovered after buying their first DSLR that Sigma, Tamron, and the particular camera maker as in Nikon, Canon, Sony etc. are producing similar focal length lenses such as the 70mm to 300mm zoom. To complicate the lens issue further Panasonic is apparently making Leica lenses in Japan for their Lumix cameras and apparently it is common for lens makers to make lenses to spec. for a different brand as well as their own. So, if you were to choose for example a 70mm to 300mm lens would it be a Sigma, a Tamron or your own camera brand, or pehaps the brand does not really mean much. If that is the case, how do you determine which is the best potential buy? skieurI would have to say i'd stick to my camera brand i...... - 2009-07-03

» How to configure apache to listen ONLY to a domain:port ?

Hi, I would like apache to listen ONLY to a spcific domain : port. Here is what I have in my httpd:conf: DocumentRoot /var/wwwServerName servername This being the virtual server serving my pages for my domain.. What should I add in this file so apache will NOT listen to anything else than http://www.mydomain.fr on port 80 (for example I don't want it to listen to another domain I have on the server). Right now, apache listen to every domain on port 80. Thanks, [Edited by Sharg on 01-27-2001 at 06:42 AM]httpd.conf # Port: The port the standalone listens to. » Why can't new antibiotics be created to combat strains of infectious bateria ---SEE MORE---?

that are resistant to drugs that are currently available??To put a drug into the market a drug company needs to spend billions for it to go through clinical trials. If a drug fails, then the drug company loses that money. Infections are a serious problem but there are already many reagents out there that is good enough to handle the majority of the strains, therefore, if a drug company wants to invest in a new drug, it will have to out do all the drugs out there. Best example are anti-platlets. The one that works fairly well is aspirin. Aspirin sells for 5 cents/pill and it works damn well. If your going to come out with a new drug into the market then you will have to do better than aspirin and sell it for ~2 dollars a pill just to make...... - 2009-07-03

»  what do know about vikings?

The Vikings were several nordic tribes of sorts that mostly minded their own business for a long time. Until around the mid to late 800s C.E., they stayed in Norway. However, as English fishermen began overfishing certain fish with migratory patterns, the Vikings main food supply (those same fish) began to run out. As a result they moved away from peaceful fishing and began raiding England and France, and also exploring west. They discovered Iceland, Greenland, and Vinland, which was actually North America. That the movie depictions are wrong. The last name was based on the father's name... Ander's son, Erik's son. Women were not warriors. Women were not treated poorly. Women were not taken on the boats when the men went ...... - 2009-07-03

» Studio strobes and manual focus

I've been reading some tutorials lately that all seem to talk about using manual focus versus auto focus on your lens when shooting with studio stobes. Is it really necessary to do this and why? It's not necessary at all. It all depends on how much ambient light you have, and whether or not your camera will have enough light to actually autofocus. If your strobes have modelling lights, it's usually not a problem.I can't see why that is more necessary with strobes than without strobes. Are you sure they weren't talkin about metering manually as opposed to using your cameras build in meter ? This is important as the camera will not meter for strobes automatically. This is where light meters come in.I've been reading some tutorials lately...... - 2009-07-03
